Intensive Iconography Course for the Lenten season; The Prodigal Son

In the long and beautiful tradition of Iconography this course gives the student a taste of this rich practice. Using one of the oldest mediums of paint-egg tempera, this course will take the student step by step through the making of an icon.  You don’t need experience painting, Colette will take you through each step. 
Brushes, rulers, pencils, erasers, palettes and wash jars will be supplied for students to use, but you are welcome to bring whatever supplies you prefer. 
Saturday Vespers is open to all after the class.  We ask that you bring your own lunch.  

No gilding for this class.  Best ages–teens and up. 

When: Mar 27-30th. (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) 10-4 all days.

Where: This Course will take place at Saint Anna Orthodox Church (saintannasorthodoxchurchlouisa.com) at 4642 East Old Mountain Road, Louisa, Virginia
