The Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai is famous for, among many things, its ancient iconography, some of which precedes iconoclasm.
Many of these ancient icons have been photographed by scholars in the twentieth century, and are being made available by the Art and Archaeology Department of Princeton University.
